Description The herbaceous perennial Veronica spicata (spike speedwell) is repeat-blooming and bears showy, white and fragrant blossoms during late spring to mid autumn. The foliage is medium green and greyish green in colour and medium in texture.
Typical Uses Alpine or rock garden, border, container and ground cover.
Special Characteristics Butterflies are attracted to Veronica spicata . Veronica spicata is tolerant of salt.
Cautions The growth rate of Veronica spicata (spike speedwell) is fast and you should plan for this in your garden design and layout. Self-sowing, this plant can spread broadly and randomly where conditions are ideal for the seeds to germinate. However, this can be a benefit if you plan to use this plant in naturalizations.
