Description The herbaceous perennial Veronica spicata 'Darwin's Blue' (spike speedwell) bears showy, medium violet, fragrant and repeat-blooming blossoms during late spring to mid-fall. This plant is clump forming and has glossy and medium textured foliage that is medium green in colour.
Typical Uses Accent, alpine or rock garden, bedding plant, border, container, cut flowers, edging, ground cover and mass planting.
Special Characteristics Butterflies are attracted to Veronica spicata 'Darwin's Blue' . This plant has a natural ability to resist deer and rabbits, and it is tolerant of salt.
Cautions This plant is self-sowing and may spread broadly and randomly.
