Description The herbaceous perennial Veronica longifolia 'Blue John' (long leaf speedwell) is repeat-blooming and bears showy, faded blue and fragrant blooms during late spring to mid-autumn. The glossy foliage is dark green in colour and medium in texture.
Typical Uses Alpine or rock garden, bedding plant, border, cut flowers and wild flower.
Cautions Where conditions are favourable, Veronica longifolia 'Blue John' (long leaf speedwell) can be invasive and may require maintenance to keep it under control. This plant is self-sowing and may spread broadly and randomly.
