Thymus praecox var. arcticus (creeping thyme) bears showy and faded purple blossoms during mid-summer. This herbaceous perennial is low trailing in form and has deep green foliage that is matte, fine textured, evergreen and aromatic.

Cautions
Self-sowing, this plant can spread broadly and randomly where conditions are ideal for the seeds to germinate. However, this can be a benefit if you plan to use this plant in naturalizations.
