Description Thymus praecox var. arcticus 'Lanuginosis' (red creeping thyme) bears showy and light pink blossoms during mid-summer. This herbaceous perennial is low trailing in form and has light grey and light grey foliage that is matte, fine textured, evergreen and fragrant.
Typical Uses Alpine or rock garden, container, edging, ground cover, lawn and vegetable garden.
Special Characteristics Butterflies are attracted to Thymus praecox var. arcticus 'Lanuginosis' . Thymus praecox var. arcticus 'Lanuginosis' is tolerant of drought.
