Description The herb Thymus 'Doone Valley' (creeping thyme) produces showy, bright pink and fragrant blossoms during mid-summer. This plant is low trailing in form and has matte, fine textured, fragrant and evergreen foliage that is spotted olive and deep green in colour.
Typical Uses Accent, alpine or rock garden, container, culinary, edging, ground cover and vegetable garden.
Special Characteristics Butterflies are attracted to Thymus 'Doone Valley' . This plant has a natural ability to resist deer and rabbits, and it is tolerant of drought and moderate foot traffic.
Cautions Self-sowing, this plant can spread broadly and randomly where conditions are ideal for the seeds to germinate. However, this can be a benefit if you plan to use this plant in naturalizations.
