Description The ornamental grass Sorghastrum nutans 'Indian Steel' (grass) bears showy and pale yellow blossoms during late summer to early fall. The showy foliage is greyish aquamarine and greyish green in colour.
Typical Uses Accent, border, container, cut flowers, dried flowers, mass planting and wild flower.
Special Characteristics This plant has a natural ability to resist deer, and it is tolerant of drought. In autumn, Sorghastrum nutans 'Indian Steel' is alight with fall colour, and in winter it provides winter interest.
