Description The aquatic Saururus cernuus (lizard's tail) bears showy, white and fragrant blossoms during early summer. The matte foliage is medium green in colour, medium in texture and fragrant.

Special Characteristics Saururus cernuus is tolerant of wet sites.
Cautions Depending upon your local conditions, Saururus cernuus (lizard's tail) may be invasive. Self-sowing, this plant can spread broadly and randomly where conditions are ideal for the seeds to germinate. However, this can be a benefit if you plan to use this plant in naturalizations.
