Description Sanguinaria canadensis (bloodroot) bears showy and white flowers during early spring to mid spring. This herbaceous perennial has dark green foliage that is matte and coarse textured.

Cautions Where conditions are favourable, Sanguinaria canadensis (bloodroot) can be invasive and may require maintenance to keep it under control.
