The shrub Rhododendron kaempferi 'Johanna' (evergreen Japanese azalea) bears showy and bright red blossoms during mid spring. This plant is mound shaped in form and has showy, glossy, fine textured and semi-evergreen foliage that is deep green in colour. The bark is smooth in texture.
