Description The broadleaf evergreen Rhaphiolepis indica 'Alba' (white-flowered Indian hawthorn) yields showy, white, fragrant and repeat-blooming blossoms during mid-spring to mid summer. This plant is rounded in form and has glossy, medium textured and evergreen foliage that is deep green in colour. The bark is smooth in texture.
Typical Uses Border, container, hedge, house plant, foundation and topiary.
Special Characteristics Birds and butterflies are attracted to Rhaphiolepis indica 'Alba' . Rhaphiolepis indica 'Alba' is tolerant of drought, pollution and salt.
Cautions Self-sowing, this plant can spread broadly and randomly where conditions are ideal for the seeds to germinate. However, this can be a benefit if you plan to use this plant in naturalizations.
