Description The herbaceous perennial Primula vulgaris (wild English primrose) is repeat-blooming and bears showy, pale yellow and fragrant blossoms during mid-spring to late spring. The matte foliage is medium green in colour, medium in texture and semi-evergreen.
Typical Uses Accent, alpine or rock garden, bedding plant, border, container, edging, mass planting and woodland.
Special Characteristics Butterflies are attracted to Primula vulgaris . This plant has a natural ability to resist deer and rabbits, and it is tolerant of wet sites.
Cautions This plant is self-sowing, and without intervention may spread broadly and randomly.
