Description The herbaceous perennial Potentilla thurberi 'Monarch's Velvet' (five-fingers) bears showy and black blossoms during early summer to late summer. This plant has foliage that is deep green in colour.

Special Characteristics This plant has a natural ability to resist deer, and it is tolerant of drought.
