Description The herbaceous perennial Phlox stolonifera (creeping phlox) produces showy, white and fragrant blossoms during mid-spring. This plant is mat forming and has matte, medium textured and evergreen foliage that is medium green in colour.
Typical Uses Alpine or rock garden, border, cut flowers, edging, ground cover and wild flower.
Special Characteristics Hummingbirds and butterflies are attracted to Phlox stolonifera .
Cautions Where conditions are favourable, Phlox stolonifera (creeping phlox) can be invasive and may require maintenance to keep it under control. This plant is self-sowing and may spread broadly and randomly.
