Description Penstemon smallii (small's beard-tongue) bears bright pink blooms during late spring to mid-summer. The foliage is deep green in colour.

Special Characteristics Hummingbirds and butterflies are attracted to Penstemon smallii . This plant has a natural ability to resist rabbits, and it is tolerant of drought.
