Description Penstemon pinifolius (pineleaf beard-tongue) bears showy, bright orange, fragrant and repeat-blooming flowers during late spring to mid-summer. This herbaceous perennial is clump forming and has medium green foliage that is glossy, medium textured and semi-evergreen.
Typical Uses Accent, alpine or rock garden, border, container, edging, mass planting and wild flower.
Special Characteristics Hummingbirds and butterflies are attracted to Penstemon pinifolius . This plant has a natural ability to resist rabbits, and it is tolerant of drought.
