Description The herbaceous perennial Penstemon barbatus 'Rondo' (beardlip penstemon) is repeat-blooming and bears showy and faded purple blossoms during late spring to late summer. The glossy foliage is medium green in colour, medium in texture and semi-evergreen.
Typical Uses Alpine or rock garden, border, container, cut flowers, mass planting and wild flower.
Special Characteristics This herbaceous perennial attracts hummingbirds and butterflies to your garden. Penstemon barbatus 'Rondo' tolerates drought and salt.
Cautions Self-sowing, this plant can spread broadly and randomly where conditions are ideal for the seeds to germinate. However, this can be a benefit if you plan to use this plant in naturalizations.
