Description The herb Origanum vulgare 'Aureum' (golden oregano) is repeat-blooming and bears showy, faded fuchsia and fragrant blooms during mid-summer to early fall. The showy matte foliage is medium green and medium lime in colour, medium in texture, fragrant and evergreen.
Typical Uses Accent, alpine or rock garden, annual, border, container, culinary, cut flowers, edging, ground cover, mass planting and vegetable garden.
Special Characteristics Butterflies are attracted to Origanum vulgare 'Aureum' . This plant has a natural ability to resist deer and rabbits, and it is tolerant of drought and light foot traffic.
Cautions This plant is self-sowing and may spread broadly and randomly.
