Description Lamium maculatum (spotted deadnettle) bears showy and white blossoms during late spring to mid-summer. This herbaceous perennial is mat forming and has striped medium green and pale yellow foliage that is showy, matte and medium textured.
Typical Uses Alpine or rock garden, border, container, edging and ground cover.
Cautions The growth rate of Lamium maculatum (spotted deadnettle) is fast and you should plan for this in your garden design and layout. Self-sowing, this plant can spread broadly and randomly where conditions are ideal for the seeds to germinate. However, this can be a benefit if you plan to use this plant in naturalizations.
