Description The deciduous shrub Lagerstroemia 'Tonto' (crape myrtle) is repeat-blooming and bears showy and bright red blossoms during mid summer to early autumn. The showy glossy foliage is deep green and medium orange in colour and medium in texture. Lagerstroemia 'Tonto' (crape myrtle) has showy, spotted and smooth bark.
Typical Uses Border, cut flowers, hedge, foundation and screening.
Special Characteristics Birds are attracted to Lagerstroemia 'Tonto' . Lagerstroemia 'Tonto' is tolerant of drought, compacted soil and pollution. In autumn, Lagerstroemia 'Tonto' is alight with fall colour.
