Description The herbaceous perennial Impatiens balsamina (garden balsam) bears showy and light pink blooms during late spring to early fall. The foliage is greyish aquamarine in colour.

Special Characteristics In autumn, Impatiens balsamina is alight with fall colour.
Cautions Depending upon your local conditions, Impatiens balsamina (garden balsam) may be invasive. Self-sowing, this plant can spread broadly and randomly where conditions are ideal for the seeds to germinate. However, this can be a benefit if you plan to use this plant in naturalizations.
