Description The ornamental grass Festuca glauca (blue fescue) bears medium green blossoms during early summer to mid-summer. This plant is clump forming and has showy, matte, fine textured and evergreen foliage that is greyish aquamarine and greyish green in colour.
Typical Uses Alpine or rock garden, border, container, edging and ground cover.
Special Characteristics Festuca glauca tolerates drought.
Cautions Self-sowing, this plant can spread broadly and randomly where conditions are ideal for the seeds to germinate. However, this can be a benefit if you plan to use this plant in naturalizations.
