Description The herbaceous perennial Epimedium x youngianum 'Tamabotan' (bishop's hat) bears showy and pale mauve blossoms during mid spring. This plant is clump forming and has showy foliage that is greyish lime in colour.
Typical Uses Alpine or rock garden, border, edging, ground cover, mass planting, naturalization and woodland.
Special Characteristics Epimedium x youngianum 'Tamabotan' is tolerant of drought.
Cautions Be advised that Epimedium x youngianum 'Tamabotan' (bishop's hat) may be invasive where conditions are favourable. In such cases it will require maintenance to keep it under control.
