Description The herbaceous perennial Epimedium pubigerum (barrenwort) bears showy and greyish yellow blossoms during mid spring to early summer. The foliage is greyish green in colour and evergreen.
Typical Uses Accent, alpine or rock garden, border, container, cut flowers, edging, ground cover, mass planting, naturalization and woodland.
Special Characteristics This plant has a natural ability to resist deer and rabbits, and it is tolerant of drought. In autumn, Epimedium pubigerum is alight with fall colour, and in winter it provides winter interest.
Cautions Be advised that Epimedium pubigerum (barrenwort) may be invasive where conditions are favourable. In such cases it will require maintenance to keep it under control.
