Description The herbaceous perennial Echinacea angustifolia (blacksamson coneflower) bears showy, brown and repeat-blooming blossoms during early summer to late summer. This plant is clump forming and has matte and medium textured foliage that is deep green in colour.
Typical Uses Accent, bedding plant, border, cut flowers, dried flowers, mass planting, vegetable garden and wild flower.
Special Characteristics Birds and butterflies are attracted to Echinacea angustifolia . This plant has a natural ability to resist deer, and it is tolerant of drought.
Cautions This plant is self-sowing, and without intervention may spread broadly and randomly.
