Crocus vernus 'Purpureus Grandiflorus' (Spring crocus) bears showy and greyish purple blooms during mid spring. This "bulb, corm or tuber" has striped and bi-coloured greyish green and pale lime foliage.

Cautions
Where conditions are favourable, Crocus vernus 'Purpureus Grandiflorus' (Spring crocus) can be invasive and may require maintenance to keep it under control.
