Description The deciduous shrub Cotoneaster horizontalis var. perpusillus (rock cotoneaster rockspray cotoneaster) bears showy and light pink flowers during late spring to early summer. The glossy foliage is greyish green in colour. Cotoneaster horizontalis var. perpusillus (rock cotoneaster rockspray cotoneaster) produces showy and faded red fruit.
Typical Uses Alpine or rock garden, bank cover, espalier or trellis, ground cover and mass planting.
Special Characteristics Birds are attracted to Cotoneaster horizontalis var. perpusillus . Cotoneaster horizontalis var. perpusillus is tolerant of drought. In autumn, Cotoneaster horizontalis var. perpusillus is alight with fall colour, and in winter it provides winter interest.
