Description The tender perennial Convolvulus sabatius ssp. mauritanicus (ground morning glory) is repeat-blooming and bears showy and faded azure blossoms during early summer to mid fall. The matte foliage is greyish green in colour, medium in texture and evergreen.
Typical Uses Accent, alpine or rock garden, bedding plant, border, container, edging, ground cover and hanging basket.
Special Characteristics It is worthy to note that Convolvulus sabatius ssp. mauritanicus tolerates drought.
Cautions Depending upon your local conditions, Convolvulus sabatius ssp. mauritanicus (ground morning glory) may be invasive. Self-sowing, this plant can spread broadly and randomly where conditions are ideal for the seeds to germinate. However, this can be a benefit if you plan to use this plant in naturalizations.
