Description The shrub Cistus x purpureus (purple rockrose) bears showy, light pink, fragrant and repeat-blooming blossoms during mid-spring to mid-summer. This plant is rounded in form and has matte, fine textured and evergreen foliage that is medium green in colour. The bark is smooth in texture.
Typical Uses Alpine or rock garden, bedding plant and border.
Special Characteristics Butterflies are attracted to Cistus x purpureus . Cistus x purpureus is tolerant of drought and salt.
