Description The sedge Carex flacca (blue creeping sedge) bears pastel yellow blossoms during early summer. The showy matte foliage is greyish green in colour, fine in texture and semi-evergreen.
Typical Uses Accent, alpine or rock garden, border, container, edging, ground cover, mass planting and woodland.
Special Characteristics Carex flacca tolerates drought, wet sites and light foot traffic, and is noted for being naturally resistant to deer.
Cautions This plant is self-sowing and may spread broadly and randomly.
