Description The herbaceous perennial Caltha palustris (kingcup) bears showy and bright yellow blossoms during mid-spring to early summer. This plant has foliage that is deep green in colour.
Typical Uses Accent, alpine or rock garden, border, container, cut flowers, edging, mass planting, pond, waterfront and wild flower.
Special Characteristics This plant has a natural ability to resist deer.
Cautions Be aware that this herbaceous perennial is poisonous or toxic. Plan its application carefully if you have children or pets. Where conditions are favourable, Caltha palustris (kingcup) can be invasive and may require maintenance to keep it under control.
