The shrub Calluna vulgaris 'Allegro' (heather) bears showy, bright red and fragrant blossoms during mid-summer to mid-fall. This plant is clump forming and has matte, fine textured and evergreen foliage that is deep green in colour. The bark is smooth in texture.
