Description The deciduous shrub Callicarpa americana (American beautyberry) bears showy, light pink and fragrant blossoms during early summer to late summer. This plant is arching in form and has matte and coarse textured foliage that is greyish green in colour. The bark is smooth in texture. Showy and greyish fuchsia fruit are produced by Callicarpa americana (American beautyberry).
Typical Uses Border, hedge and naturalization.
Special Characteristics Birds and butterflies are attracted to Callicarpa americana . In the winter, Callicarpa americana provides winter interest.
