Description Buxus microphylla var. japonica (Japanese boxwood) bears medium green and fragrant blooms during late spring. This broadleaf evergreen is rounded in form and has medium green foliage that is showy, glossy, fine textured and evergreen. The bark is smooth in texture.
Typical Uses Alpine or rock garden, container, edging, hedge, foundation and topiary.
Special Characteristics Buxus microphylla var. japonica is noted for being naturally resistant to rabbits.
