Description The broadleaf evergreen Buxus microphylla var. japonica 'National' (Japanese boxwood) bears medium green and fragrant blooms during mid spring. The showy glossy foliage is dark green in colour, fine in texture and evergreen. Buxus microphylla var. japonica 'National' (Japanese boxwood) has smooth bark.
Typical Uses Alpine or rock garden, bonsai, container, edging, hedge, foundation and topiary.
