Description The ornamental grass Briza media (common quaking grass) bears showy and medium green blooms during late spring to mid summer. The matte foliage is dark green in colour, fine in texture and evergreen. Briza media (common quaking grass) yields showy fruit.
Typical Uses Accent, alpine or rock garden, bedding plant, border, container, cut flowers, dried flowers, ground cover, foundation and mass planting.
Special Characteristics This plant has a natural ability to resist deer, and it is tolerant of drought.
Cautions Where conditions are favourable, Briza media (common quaking grass) can be invasive and may require maintenance to keep it under control. This plant is self-sowing and may spread broadly and randomly.
