Description The ornamental grass Bouteloua curtipendula (sideoats grass) bears showy and medium red flowers during mid-summer to late summer. The foliage is dark green in colour.
Typical Uses Accent, alpine or rock garden, bank cover, cut flowers, dried flowers, ground cover, lawn, mass planting, naturalization and wild flower.
Special Characteristics Birds are attracted to Bouteloua curtipendula . Bouteloua curtipendula is tolerant of drought. In autumn, Bouteloua curtipendula is alight with fall colour.
Cautions This plant is self-sowing and may spread broadly and randomly.
