Description The annual Borago officinalis (borage) bears showy, pastel blue, fragrant and repeat-blooming blossoms during early summer to late summer. This plant is clump forming and has showy, matte and medium textured foliage that is greyish green in colour.
Typical Uses Annual, bank cover, border, container, culinary and vegetable garden.
Cautions Bees and wasps are attracted to Borago officinalis (borage) so be careful when you are working around the plant. Also allow some buffer space around the plant in your garden design for walkways or living space in your garden. When planning your garden, take into consideration that Borago officinalis (borage) grows at a very fast rate and will fill its designated space quickly. This plant is self-sowing and may spread broadly and randomly.
