Description The shrub Berberis thunbergii (Japanese barberry) produces bright yellow blossoms during mid spring to late spring. This plant is rounded in form and has showy, matte and medium textured foliage that is medium green in colour. The bark is smooth in texture. Showy fruit are produced by Berberis thunbergii (Japanese barberry).
Typical Uses Alpine or rock garden, border, edging, hedge and foundation.
Special Characteristics This shrub attracts birds to your garden. Berberis thunbergii tolerates drought, compacted soil, pollution and salt.
