Description Berberis thunbergii f. atropurpurea 'Concorde' (purpleleaf Japanese barberry) bears bright yellow blooms during mid spring to late spring. This shrub is mound shaped in form and has dark fuchsia and dark red foliage that is showy, glossy and medium textured.
