Description The herbaceous perennial Astrantia major (astrantia) bears showy and multi-coloured light pink blossoms during late spring to late summer. The showy glossy foliage is medium green and pale yellow in colour and medium in texture.
Typical Uses Accent, border, container, cut flowers, dried flowers, mass planting and woodland.
Cautions Be advised that Astrantia major (astrantia) may be invasive where conditions are favourable. In such cases it will require maintenance to keep it under control. This plant is self-sowing, and without intervention may spread broadly and randomly.
