Description The herbaceous perennial Astilbe 'Rheinland' (Japonica Group) (false spirea) bears showy, faded magenta and fragrant flowers during late spring to mid-summer. The glossy foliage is medium green in colour and medium in texture.
Typical Uses Border, container, cut flowers, dried flowers, edging, ground cover and mass planting.
Special Characteristics This plant has a natural ability to resist deer and rabbits, and it is tolerant of wet sites.
