Description The herbaceous perennial Aster tongolensis 'Wartburg Star' (east indies aster) produces showy, medium violet and fragrant blossoms during early summer to mid-summer. This plant is clump forming and has matte and medium textured foliage that is deep green in colour.
Typical Uses Accent, alpine or rock garden, border, container, cut flowers and mass planting.
Special Characteristics Birds and butterflies are attracted to Aster tongolensis 'Wartburg Star' .
