Description The herbaceous perennial Armeria maritima 'Bloodstone' (common thrift) bears showy and bright red blossoms during mid-spring to mid-summer. The matte foliage is medium green in colour, fine in texture and evergreen.
Typical Uses Alpine or rock garden, border, container, edging, mass planting and small or miniature planting.
Special Characteristics Hummingbirds are attracted to Armeria maritima 'Bloodstone' . Armeria maritima 'Bloodstone' is tolerant of drought and salt.
