Description The herbaceous perennial Arenaria montana (montana sandwort) bears showy and white blossoms during mid spring. The matte foliage is greyish green in colour, fine in texture and evergreen.
Typical Uses Accent, alpine or rock garden, bedding plant, border, container, edging and ground cover.
Special Characteristics It is worthy to note that Arenaria montana tolerates drought and light foot traffic, and has a natural resistance to deer.
Cautions Where conditions are favourable, Arenaria montana (montana sandwort) can be invasive and may require maintenance to keep it under control.
