Description Ardisia japonica (Japanese ardisia) bears light pink blossoms during mid-summer. This broadleaf evergreen is a thicket in form and has deep green foliage that is showy, glossy, medium textured and evergreen. The fruit produced by Ardisia japonica (Japanese ardisia) is showy. The bark is smooth in texture.
