Description The herbaceous perennial Aquilegia vulgaris 'Granny's Gold' (common columbine) bears showy and bright yellow flowers during late spring to mid-summer. The matte foliage is medium green and greyish green in colour and fine in texture.
Typical Uses Alpine or rock garden, bedding plant, border, cut flowers and wild flower.
Special Characteristics Hummingbirds and butterflies are attracted to Aquilegia vulgaris 'Granny's Gold' .
Cautions Self-sowing, this plant can spread broadly and randomly where conditions are ideal for the seeds to germinate. However, this can be a benefit if you plan to use this plant in naturalizations.
