Description The herbaceous perennial Aquilegia vulgaris var. flore-pleno (granny's bonnet columbine) bears showy and medium blue blossoms during late spring to mid-summer. The matte foliage is medium green and greyish green in colour and fine in texture.
Typical Uses Accent, alpine or rock garden, bedding plant, border, container, cut flowers, mass planting, wild flower and woodland.
Special Characteristics Hummingbirds and butterflies are attracted to Aquilegia vulgaris var. flore-pleno . This plant has a natural ability to resist deer and rabbits.
