Description The herbaceous perennial Alternanthera dentata (calico plant) is repeat-blooming and bears white blooms. The showy matte foliage is greyish azure in colour, medium in texture and evergreen.
Typical Uses Alpine or rock garden, annual, bedding plant, border, container, edging, ground cover, hanging basket, house plant and tropical.
Cautions The growth rate of Alternanthera dentata (calico plant) is fast and you should plan for this in your garden design and layout. Self-sowing, this plant can spread broadly and randomly where conditions are ideal for the seeds to germinate. However, this can be a benefit if you plan to use this plant in naturalizations.
