Description The tender perennial Alternanthera dentata 'Purple Knight' (calico plant) yields white and repeat-blooming blossoms. This plant is spreading in form and has showy, matte, medium textured and evergreen foliage that is dark fuchsia in colour.
Typical Uses Alpine or rock garden, bedding plant, border, container, edging, ground cover, hanging basket, house plant and tropical.
Cautions The growth rate of Alternanthera dentata 'Purple Knight' (calico plant) is fast and you should plan for this in your garden design and layout. Self-sowing, this plant can spread broadly and randomly where conditions are ideal for the seeds to germinate. However, this can be a benefit if you plan to use this plant in naturalizations.
